Super Aggressive Gravid Girl

So, my third gravid girl had her prelay shed yesterday. So I took her shed out and apparently she was none to happy about it. She is the fastest BP I have every seen. She turned around and struck right at my face. Then she started moving around like crazy and started coming out the tub. But she's high up in the rack and went back in. So I started to push the tub back in and she struck over over the adge of tub and nearly got my hand.

I tell ya. That got my blood pumping! I hope she's not like that when she lays. I went back later to check on her and she wasn't aggressive at all she just tucked her head in under a coil. I hope I get that version when I have to take the eggs.

:O Scary stuff for sure haha! i would take her tub out of the rack and set it on a table when you have to snatch the eggs from her when shes done!

I'd definitely use the pillowcase trick on that one!

Also, I want video of this snake going loony on you! Where's my video?

They can get a bit crazy and move much faster than you'd expect them to.

Come on guys! You should know by now that a pregnant female is always crabby, and since it's your fault she's that way in the first place, of course she's going to take it out on you! :rofl:

So far my own gravid girls are complete angels. Maybe it's because I am a girl and I can sympathize with their condition. :D

Sometimes they are just in a bad mood!!

I usually sneak up on mine...wait til they are all coiled up nice and then eeeease out the tub and start uncoiling them before they've really woken up. I've had some snippy females but so far so good about dodging the grumpies. :)
