    my dealing with Underground
I called them up to inquire about some water monitors they had on the 5th of April. Wondering in what condition they were in. They told me they were very healthy farmed specimens. So I went ahead and ordered one. They had it shipped that day. April 6th i received the package

the package was in good condition
but what i found inside was nothing what i expected

The monitors hip bones were showing, his legs were very skinny his tail was very diminished of all fat reserve. There was no bulk to his body whatsoever. He looked dehydrated, very dry lizard.

Not trying to pick a fight I called them up and told them my concern for the animal and asked what I could do. They told me to send photos of the lizard, so I did. Letting them know how I had him set up and that i needing any help they could give me.
Two days later I received an e-mail back only stating that they did not condone the way I had his enclosure set up and that none of the pictures I sent showed a dehydrated or other wise sick animal. They did not answer my question on how to set up an enclosure better or how the help the animal period.

That's when I got on here looking for answers, so on April 13th I built
    this

even with the basking temps at 147 as a high and ambient between 80-90
and humidity at 70-90 depending on the area of the enclosure the animal continued to not have a healthy appetite and soon wasn't even opening his eyes. I' will having to euthanize him as he is suffering sever from conditions that were beyond my control as he was very unhealthy to begin with.

I'm saying be careful when dealing with UnderGround Reptiles as they are out to make the quick buck when ever possible

I'll be e-mailing them my concerns again today.

Just sent them another e-mail after talking to them on the phone about how unhelpful they were the first time around. . . . we'll see how this one goes.

Did you ask for pics before hand and has it been taken to a Reptile Vet?

How soon after receiving the monitor were those pictures taken? That's far from healthy..

I just read your other thread and didn't see answers to my question. You might want to link the post to bring others who haven't seen it up to speed and try to cut back on repeat questions.

that was the day of and the day after receiving the monitor

i just got a e-mail back once again they didn't tell me how to set it up "their way" and said that i recieved a very healthy lizard. not to mentin how fast they are to get you off the phone

done dealing with them, i should have asked for pictures before buying, my fault on that one. Their fault for not treating a customer lke they should be.

Gonna take it in this week to have him have some injections at the vet.

That lizard does not look in good shape. I'm glad your taking it to the vet.

I don't know if you still have an animal in the tank with the heat lamp inside (first pic and rear corner tank in last pic) but that WILL burn a lizard very badly if it jumps up into the bulb or onto the outside guard. I saw that you built a new enclosure (looks nice btw!) but wanted to point that out in case you find a new pet for the tank one.
