Help! Flaky scales/skin on my kingsnake
My kingsnake has dry skin/scales. I don't know what's up with him. He has a clean tank, and he just shed maybe a week ago. I come to get him water and I see his skin seems really messed up. He looks really dull and he isn't smooth. If I look closely at his scales he has what looks like wrinkles all over him. He hasn't eaten in a while and I'm worried as hell. I've thought that maybe it could be scale rot, but I don't let him live in filth. So I ruled that out. Maybe I should raise the humidity?

Any suggestions of what this could be and what to do would be fantastic. Thanks.

Sounds like a bad shed. Pics would help. What kind of King is it?

I'm pretty sure it wasn't a bad shed. When he shed last it came out in one perfect peice. He's a California Kingsnake. Also, I forgot to mention, it seems like he's missing a couple scales on his neck. It's just the top scales too, his scutes are completely fine.

Cal Kings don't need a lot of humidity. What are you housing him in? What are the temps like. Pics, once again would be very helpful.
