Eggs Dimpled alot...

    Eggs Dimpled alot...
    Its been 19 days since they were layed and the eggs seem to have dimpled alot the humidity is 99% and the heat is at 89.7....can they be okay with the dimpling....

    We incubate at about 90% humidity, in my experience eggs can't dimple at 99% humidity.
    Eggs are typically too humid at 99% unless you have a major air leakage.

    What type of tub are you using to incubate in?

    6 qt tub... saran wrapped the top and then covered it with the top of the tub...

    Are you doing substrateless method or eggs in the substrate?
    I have no idea how your eggs could dimple in if the humidity is as high as you say it is.

    using vermiculite and the eggs are on a plastic rack not touching the vermiculite....I just changed the temp and humidity checker[cant think of the name] put in a accurite...http://ball-pythons.net/gallery/file...6259_thumb.jpg

    The pic was last week and the eggs are dimpled worst now just put the new temp in and wrapped it up...did not want to open it again for pics...can you open the tub too much and harm the eggs...

    If this is the "dimpling" your refering to I wouldnt be worried. They look just fine, they may be a little funny looking because of the position they are in but theres not much you can do about that.

    Ive had them pancake lol dimplin aint no thang. My egg boxes stay around 100% and i get some dimplin. Babies do fine

    glad press n seal works better than saran wrap. my first clutch I used saran wrap and had problems with keeping the humidity right. got a tip from another breeder to use press n seal and never had a humidity issue since.
