I need some outside feedback from as many breeders as possible. First, how many of you would knowingly purchase a sick snake? Second, if you have thousands of dollars invested in other snakes how would you take care of them? Would you put them in the same room or would you put them somewhere else to medicate them?

I would never purchase any snake that I knew was sick. It is to great of a risk to the rest of my collection. Every snake that I buy no matter who it comes from is qt. for at least 90 days.

You need to quarantine them so any disease or parasites don't affect any of your other snakes. Here's a good thread to read about quarantining.

    I agree.

ThinkImHot, what is the real question you're driving at, if there is one at all?

I would NOT purchase a sick snake, if I knew beforehand it was sick. I like my snakes too much to risk their life on the purchase of a sick one.

I would possibly take a sick one for free, if it were RI, and not IBD. But i'd only take one. I have a place at work to keep one completely quarantined from my home collection.

    Why do you ask?
