First Python Bite!

Just thought I'd share that I just received my first ball python bite about 10 minutes ago. I was feeding all my snakes when my smallest corn snake thought my finger was its pinkie so I thought to myself that I've been bitten by small corn snakes before but never any of my ball pythons. So I rubbed a rat on my arm and put it in front of my biggest ball...only 500 grams...and let him get a taste of me. Not was I was expecting but I'm glad i have that fear out of the way now.

I'm really curious .. was it worse or less than what you expected? Loli also have one b.p and three corns no bites yet from anyone.. lol but its almost like the anticipation is killing just to get it out of the way too lol

Good thing I took pics then haha, I'll post them tomorrow. It hurt less than I expected, much more afraid of getting stung by a bee or a wasp .

had my first bp about 8 months now, havent had that happen. hoping it doesnt, but if it does i heard it aint to bad.

Just do what I did to get it over with.

I've had corns and a king bite me, but no pythons so far.

the king was the craziest. she was constricting my whole hand. lmao.

Welcome to the club haha! Now itll be 10 times nicer now that youve gotten it out of the way. After i got bit for the first time i gained alot of confidence handling all snakes.
