Power is going to be out for 5 hours today
As the title says, I will be without power for 5 hours today. Will my snakes be ok if the room temp stays in the 80's? I didn't even get 24 hours notice of this so I am a little unprepared. I can keep the snakes in my living room and the temps will be in the mid 80's.

I think you will be fine. It's only for a few hours, and if the are in a room in the 80's, I think they will be ok.

    Yep,

They will be fine as long as they havent just had a large meal. :)

And even then they would probably be ok for that short a time. :gj:

If you are really concerned you could quickly collect pop bottles and fill them with 90º water and just cap them tightly (leaks are very counter productive!) and add one to each enclosure over the hot spot. Water cools off slowly. But in all honesty unless your room is going to drop below 75º it is unlikely to be even be an issue at all.

You should be fine I lost power this winter temps in the room droped to 59ish snake temps got a little cold at 72 was the recorded lowest and everyone was fine they stayed curled up in there hot hides with an issue. The only reason I know power went out was all the clocks had to be reset and when I checked everyone I scrolled threw high and low temps. So I dont know how long they were at 72 but it could not have been for more than and hour give of take
