    My Happiness is Palpable
Last month my ex-boyfriend dumped me, threw me and most of my pets out. I had to rehome some, he held some hostage, but most came with me. I was able to set my snakes and cats up with another ex boyfriend, my rats, fish and amphibs in assorted other places.

I was homeless for a while, couch surfing my friends places. It wasn't the best, but it was far from the worst. After fitting my entire life into a storage locker, it kinda puts things into perspective for you.

But last week everything changed. A friend of mine offered me the spare room in her new apartment. She happens to be one of the people I sold one of my snakes to. Because of that, I knew I'd be able to bring my kids with me.

Cats and snakes came first. My toad I gave to my sister, my fish I gave to my mom. and today. Well today I brought home my rats.

My whole family is back together. We are safe. We are happy. I can't imagine a better outcome to the whole shabang.

My happiness is palpable today. I don't even care that I have a mountain of homework. I have my family, and I can't even describe it.

    Yeah!

I hear ya... I've been couch-surfing (love that term) for a while now. Our herps are kept at a relative's place and only seen for feeding nights... BUT!!! It looks like through some generosity we will be able to buy a place this summer and everyone will be reunited. I envy you right now, but am so happy for you as well! Hang in there, look how far you've come!

:) Too bad about the couch surfing, and the fact that the term is more fun than the action :/

But yay! Housing is always good! I'm so happy to have a place, I don't even care that everybody is on the floor xD
