Odd stool

I'm kind of worried about Slytherin, again. He had a bad shed last month (ended on the 31st) and hasn't eaten for about a month. I haven't been able to weigh him but he has obviously lost weight. And last night around one am, he woke me up while passing a fairly large (for him) parts of it watery, stool. I called the vet and they said to bring him in and he has an appointment on Wednesday, but my mom isn't sure she'll be able to get me to it... I'm rather worried and not sure what to do. Is there anything I can do for him until I can get him into the vet? Thank you all so much for you help.

It's hard for me to tell what is what in that picture. Do you have one that's not quite so close up?

I've certainly seen worse. If he hasn't eaten in a month, he probably doesn't have much waste to pass. The liquid is probably mostly urine.

Ok. Do I still need to take him in? He has lost a bit of weight.

I am hesitant to advise against a Vet visit. I usually go with the "better safe than sorry" principle. I guess there is a chance that he could have an internal parasite of some sort. Your Vet should be able to test for that.

I would attribute the weight loss to the lack of eating. Addressing why he's not eating would be my first action.

Having a scale is invaluable to a snake keeper. It removes the guess work out of many aspects of animal husbandry. I encourage you to get one at your earliest opportunity.

Ok, and I have a scale somewhere, but my mom also uses it for her birds and has a tendency for losing things... I'm working on finding it now.
