    What would you get?
Hi, Im new to the forums, been keeping reptiles for a while. Next weekend I might be picking up a couple terrariums for dirt cheap. I might be getting 2 2mx80cmx80cm glass or 1 2mx80cmx80cm OSB and one 2.40mx70cmx80cm plastic trying to decide what I could use them for. Just looking for some suggestions, if it were you, what would you get?

Welcome to the forums! Sorry for the slow replies, it's probably because it's still the morning over here.

I used to build vivariums with live plants that were great for frogs or geckos. I love to research the species and try to replicate their natural habitat as closely as possible. it was very satisfying but a serious pain in the butt to maintain. I guess if i got tanks that size for free, i might try it again. Wish i had pics but it was oh so long ago...

Let us know what you end up doing!

Yeah the wife and I were talking about doing that with one of the glass ones if we windup with it. I did that a while back when I used to keep fish. I had a 75gallon Amazon biotop, I do enjoy that as well. The same person we will hopefully be getting those terrariums from has two 100x60x60 that we will likely use for quarantine for new BP´s. And I do sometimes forget the time difference, lol.

I'd go with some African Fat Tail geckos. :gj:

    x2 i agree
AFT geckos are becoming ALOT more popular. They look similar to leos but not as many people have worked with them yet to produce as many morphs. Id get in on that if i ha the room/money. Maybe get the chance to start producing your own line of a new morph!

That's what I plan on doing. I have 16 of them coming within the next few months. Lots of great morphs and potential out there. Something big is a-brewin' in the fat tail world. I'm pretty pumped to get into them while they are still fresh, breeders have just started to take notice in the last few years, the surface has barely been scratched. I can't wait!

Fat tails could be something interesting to get into, i have not seen any in Germany yet, though im sure there here somewhere. I do however have no experience with geckos. We are still like 5 years behind the states with ball python morphs. I was back home in the states over christmas and was amazed at how cheap some of the basic morphs are there compared to here.
