Just finished a new perch for my Carpet Python
    So what do you think?

    It's made from:

    1x 10' piece of 1/2" PVC

    8x 90 degree elbo joints

    4x T-joints

Good job! I've been building some PVC perches for my tanks.

That's awesome! I have only built one of the PVC perches for my carpets cage. I think when I get some spare time I will build some more.

Looks like your JCP approves! It may not be fancy, but it looks sturdy, and that's what's really important. Good job.

Came out nice looking aaron! Reminds me of monkey bars lol!
Do carpets prefer to perch on "limbs" like that like a gtp or do they prefer shelves to lay on?
I only ask bc i know the "carpet cage" from AP has a shelf built into it...

Does it matter if "we the people" approve ;-) it's all about your snake and he seems to be utilizing it! I ordered the "custom" perches in my PVC cages I have coming for all of my carpets. If I did it differently though, I'd probably make something very similar to what you've done here, still might if I get that GTP I'm looking at

    Very well done!

I wasn't aware that JCPs perched. Guess I should pull my crainum out of the ball python world once and a while and learn something new :P

From my research it seems that young carpets prefer "limbs" and older carpets prefer shelfs.

They are considered semi-arboreal so they will use a perch if you provide one but it isn't necessary.
