    Fangs eating habit
The last time fang ate a live mouse was right before I treated him for mites in late Jan. Well since then he will not go near or acts scared of live mice. He got hurt the last time he did. So I had to pre-kill the mice since then, I have tried to let him go after the live but he just stays away from them. Do you think it is possible that he prefers pre-killed over live now.

I'm not sure he's showing a preference so much as he's reacting to the stress of having a live mouse near him.

If he's eating P/K, I would just go with that and be thankful that's he's eating.

If you feel you need to feed live, wait until he's bigger to try it again.

Slim hit the nail on the head. I've got a baby that is afraid of live food, so I fed that one f/t or prekilled. After a month or so of that, it started taking live, just smaller rats than normal. It is not unusual at all. BPs can be skittish especially when they are little.

Thanks guys I will try when he gets bigger I don't mind it so much but I hate killing animals myself and The one thing I will take from this is I am going to try f/t again as before he wouldn't take it when I first got him he now may have changed his mind.
