So I am getting my snake soon, and I am putting it in a tub and I originally was thinking of just using the Zoo Med Repti-therm UTH but is there a better alternative? One that is more cost effective and just works better all around.

Zoo-Med UTH's are fine for a single tub set up, but flexwatt is better for multi-tub setups.

Would flexwatt work for a single tub, or just two? It looks like its much cheaper.

Reptile basics is where i get mine. Do you already have a thermostat to control the heating element?

No but I plan on purchasing the Herpstat 2 no matter which heating method I choose.
