What size tubs and what type of wood?

I tried searching, but I couldn't find a definite answer, so sorry if this is a repeat question. Anyways, I really want to build my own racks, but I honestly am confused about what size tubs I should get, and more importantly, where to find them.

I really want to widen my collection of snakes from just Colubridae, to pythons and boas. However, I like my animals to be comfortable, but from what I hear, I need to six feet long tubs. On the other hand, I see almost all of the racks here being pretty small in comparison.

Also, what type of wood should I get?

Use melamine. For adult female balls, like over 2000grams the very least is a 32qt but most are in a 41qt or cb-70. For adult male bps 28qt or 32qt are fine.

Just remember racks do best in rooms heated to minimum ambient temps they are very difficult to heat beyond this. Typically mixed species do not do well in a rack system. Racks usually are set to the same hot spot throughout and the ambient comes usually from the rooms heat in the case of ball pythons that means a room in the high 70s low 80s and the hot spot in the rack of 90 or so. This is not going to be appropriate to all species.
