Questions about frozen rats and bedding
Can anybody tell me if frozen rats loose any nutritional value after being frozen for so long? I recently bought some of that dry moss that you soak in water. Does anybody know how long you can leave it in the habitat before it molds? I only use 1/4 of the moss at a time because it swells up so much. My girl absolutely LOVES it and I want to keep using it. I've been changing it once a week jus to be safe. Can anybody provide me with some info on this stuff. Thanks to all.

No nutrition is lost. Youre fine, plenty of people do it. As for the moss, idk exactly what youre talking about. Ive never used it before.

Ditto on the frozen rats, nutrition is the same.

Are you talking about the Exoterra moss? Love that stuff, it takes a month or two to really mold or get gross, especially if you let it dry out inbetween getting it wet again. I used it last season for my maternally incubating females and had little to no issue with mold at all. :)
