Is it ok to feed two days in a row
My pig of a snake seems like he is always hungry lately. Found a bit bigger rat and fed to him last night, went from 40 gram rats to 50 grams. Still, tonight as soon as someone comes in the room hes out of his hide looking for food. He is between 500-600 grams and I've been feeding every 5 days.
The 40 gram rats are the smalles rat I can get. I can do mice though. I tried to feed him a mouse after he ate his rat last week but he had no interest at the time and immediately went back into his hide after polishing off the rat.
Would it be OK to feed him the rat one day then the mouse the next if he's out ont he prowl? Maybe that would get him 5 days.
Would it be bad to feed him another rat instead of the mouse? Maybe that could get him to go more liek 7 days.
Right now he's staring at me with this look that says feed me you @$#%!

That's the problem. The next size up that I can get is 80 grams. They are a bit too big around I think. I only have one snake so I'm not gonna be breeding rats or getting bulk shipments online, so I'm limited to what Petco and Petsmart carry.

One of my girls eats ASF/mice, gets 2 a week, but refuses to eat two at one feeding...I feed her one and then another the next day...all the time. It's not a problem.

Since you can't get the ideal size, you could try feeding two at the same time. I think that would be better than feeding two days in a row.
