    Always on the cool side??

Just posting this quickly before I go to bed but I have noticed that Pretzel is near enough always in her cooler hide... I never ever see her move to the other one and the occasions I DO see her in there are very rare. Temperatures are fine...she eats fine, she poops fine, I'm doing everything right...I'm just wondering if anybody elses BPs do this? It's kinda worried me :hmm:

i have 2 red tails with identical setups and one is normally on the hot side and the other on the cool. id say it depends on the snake like some people are always hot and some always cold but i know thats not the reason. i really dont know...

Mine are in tubs, and most of them move back and forth. I have one guy who is almost always in his cold hide. Just a bp thing I think.

My corn Snake is the same way usually on the cool side but when he eats he will spend a few days in his hot end.

Mine are in tubs. They always drag their hides so that half of their body is on the warm side and the other part is on the cool side.

Just wanted to chime in that yep, it depends on the snake a lot of the time. :)

Also to note that sometimes, they just don't like the hide on the hot side. If they're both the same hides, then clearly that's not the case, but they're different, try switching them.

Just thought I'd let you knooooow...

I changed her hides around just to see what she did, and she's been all curled up nice and snug on the warm side of her viv all day :sweeet:

So turns out she just feels more cushty in that hide I guess! :)

In that case, you should ditch the hide she doesn't like and get one that matches the one she likes for the other side. Apologies if I'm stating the obvious. :)
