    questions about asfs?
ok well i was wondering i know asfs are like crack to ball pythons but do they have to be live im going to start breeding them and i was wondering if they can be f/t and have the same feeding response as if they were live

No, the feeding response will not be the same. Why would a snake react to a F/T rodent the same way they react to a live one? The smell is different, the temperature is different, the movement is different.

I've had some snakes that won't touch an ASF (live or otherwise), so don't rest all your hopes on ASFs being irresistible.

If a snake refuses F/T rats, you can always try a F/T ASF and see what happens.

Be really careful if you feed live asf not sure of your experience with them but they can be aggressive and nippy little butholes. And if you raise them prepare to be bit.some people claim to have never been bit but I have been bit plenty of times.

It really depends on the snake. I have a picky pastel that fasted for 5 months. She ate rats before and decided she didn't want it anymore. I tried mice with no avail. I tried f/t asf and just left it in her tub and in less than 5 seconds she stuck and constricted like it was her last meal. She eats f/t everytime. I also have a fire that only likes live asfs.

There are evil asfs and there are ones that are not. The asfs that I breed has never attempted to bite me even when I clean their tubs and move the pinkies. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. Get from someone with good stock.
