Does your BP hate your arm hair?
Whenever I'm holding my BP and he's moving around my arm every time he tries to set his head down he quickly jerks away and tries another spot on my arm lol.. it's kinda funny when he's constantly doing this. Will he ever get used to it? Do your BPs do this?

Has nothing to do with hating hair or not, most snakes are head shy and very sensitive. When they feel anything they react to pull away.

Head shy, work on gradually rubbing their head until they are somewhat accustomed to it. They will jerk away less.

Well I know it's not hair specifically, but will he become accustomed to the fact that when I'm holding him he will come into contact with small invisible things when moving around my arm?

Oho, thanks for sharing this! I wondered about this...

My BP kept jerking away from my (male and rather hairy) friend whenever I tried to let him hold him. Of course I do have arm hairs too, just not so much! Makes sense though, that he wouldn't like the feel of them on his head if there were a bunch blocking his way...

My most unhead shy BP HATES arm and chest hair but does not mind head hair. He also does not mind his head being rubbed or being handled just my hair.
