The most interesting minute I ever filmed
While recording candid footage of my baby Savannah Monitors today I captured a rare moment that I would like to share.

In this sequence you can clearly see Littlefoot walk up and rest his head on Cera, and then stroke her back with his left hand.

Sorry for the poor video quality, I am saving up to get a HD camera so these moments can be of the highest quality.

As soon as I get this footage edited better, I have a clip of Littlefoot "surfing" on the grass as if he was swimming.

Do you think that's an episode of dominant behavior, or just a random act of extreme monitor cuteness?

I am not trying to read too much into it, They do play together and I have seen them snuggle more than once, I do hope it perpetuates.

Makes me really glad I got two of them.

When he first came up to her it looks like he startled her so maybe he was just assuring her that it was only him and not a predator. That was my take on it :)
    Cool footage either way :gj:

Nothing cuter the two arm wrapping monitors

My opinion is this behavior allows both animals to be alerted of any danger spotted by the other.

My ornatus puts a limb onto me and rests his head on my arm when he's basking. Almost every time I go in there :D

Your idea of comfortable and theirs are very different. Much like your choice in food and theirs ;)
