How hard is too hard when palpating?

I've been trying to get palpating down for the last couple months, just wondering if it is possible to press too hard? I know the obvious answer but how hard is too hard?

I dont know for sure how hard is to hard but they squizze themselves into some small tight spots in the wild so I would think your pretty safe.

Yea, my main concern isn't hurting the snake. Its damaging the follicles, ever cracked an egg?

Pretty hard, especially if your feeling for small follicles...Not an easy thing to describe in writing...I palpated a friends Ball the other day and he was very surprised at how hard I squeezed.

You can't crack a Ball egg, they are soft...I don't palpate once they have Ovulated and have eggs though, no reason to do it then...
