    I called Island PD today to find out what is and is not illegal to own in the city limits of Galveston... anything can be kept, as far as reptiles go, that does not get over 3 feet in length and is secured in the residence home. So what about the man that owns a 4 foot crock three houses down... is under 30 feet?.. Yes... Is it secured in something... Yeah... its allowed.

    I was calling because I wanted to take my ball pythons to a park that doesn't have many visitors and take some pics of them since I don't have a yard. the cop asked me if I was doing it for media purposes... mmm n... um yeah of course. Then its allowed.

    I would never take my herps out into the public areas, you never know if there is a hater around that would make trouble. Just my .02.....
