Leo eggs

So I was cleaning tank today and while trolling through the Eco earth for poo's, found two eggs I didn't know had been laid. She had buried them in the dirt in her favorite hide. So, I am not sure how long they have been there. Do these still look ok? I marked them so I know which way is up (incase one hatches before the other and disrupts it). They didn't look dried up at all. The soil was moist, as it was their humid hide she laid them in, (not egg box with vermiculite). I put in a quarter to gauge size off of. Any takers on how old these eggs are? This is our first clutch of Leo eggs, so I don't even know how big they start out. I hope they are ok!

They still look fresh and healthy and it never hurts to throw them in the incubator. I usually find them the next day but congrats and I hope they hatch for you :)

Hey doc congrats on the eggs. My Leos have not laid yet so not much help. Good luck hope they hatch.

Thanks, they are in incubator, fingers crossed! I am afraid I may have rolled one of them when I was digging around. We will see what happens! Ugh, so worried......:rolleyes:

Don't worry about rolling them, they are much more durable than many think.

I agree my crested always digs her eggs into the substrate instead of the lay box and its possible they could have rolled slightly and I havnt had a problem yet.

They look good to me so far :) It's really hard to tell the age bc they won't start growing for at least a few weeks and then they begin to get more plump and round. You can try candling them as well looking for veins and a red circle. If the egg is hollow it's probably infertile.
