My humble set up
This is what I'm keeping my hog island in. At the time this pic was taken he was in his warm side hide so you can't see him. People have asked me in the past to post a pic of my set up so here it is. Nothing all that fancy, but I seem to have my temps right (you can see my radiant heat panel on top) there is an UTH only on his really warm spot. He likes to lay out on the drift wood, and also he climbs up on the ledge above the door. His winter hunger strike seems to have ended as for the past 3 weeks he has easily eaten a full sized f/t mouse every week. I am actually considering moving him up to the rats. Maybe a rat fuzzy? I don't know. But he's eating those mice FAST.
Let me know what you guys think. My boy seems healthy, eats well, and is laid back. :)

you can't see his water, but he's got a big water thing behind the drift wood and his cool side hide (the hide closest to the camera... the gray one.)

Re: My humble set up
Are you using a thermostat with the RHP, or just letting it run, and how is it at holding your temps?

I am using a thermostat for both the UTH and the RHP. The temps seem to be fine. At the very absolute lowest it is 77 degrees away from the UTH, but that's generally just in the morning because I sleep with my room cool. Usually it's 80-82 during the day.
Where the UTH is, it's 90 - 100. I realize that's a broad range, but it depends how Cinder "arranges" his bedding. Sometimes all his bedding is pushed around so there isn't any bedding between him and the UTH. I can put my hand on it and it is warm but not enough to burn at all. I could keep my hand there all day and it wouldn't burn...might get sweaty, but not burn LOL

Hot spot should be 95 degrees max.

I can bump it down a hair easy enough.
