Oni Drawing/Future Tat

My hubby sent me a sketch he did of an Oni he wants and asked me to render it. I haven't rendered in a while but I like how it turned out.

Does rendering basically mean scanning it into a computer?

That looks like good flash and would make an awesome tattoo as a stand alone or part of an Asian theme sleeve.
