Anyone else have a snake that refuses to eat in there tank?
I got my baby Rosy Boa a little about a week and a half ago. She refuses to eat in her tank. She is in a 10 gallon with aspen, 2 hides that are exactly alike, and a small thing of water. Her first meal I put her a small cardboard box and dropped a frozen thawed ASF pinky in there, closed up the box and put it back in her tank on top of where the UTH is, and a 30 minutes later I checked on her and it was gone. Put her back in her tank ans left her alone. I thought maybe she would eat live in her tank. Nope she ignored it, but once I put her in the box and closed it up, it was gone. I know people same that feeding them in a seperate container isn't that great and I know with my ball pythons that were more aggressive when I fed them in a seperate container. So how do I break her of this, or do I just let it be. I am feeding her ever 5 days since she is such a tiny little worm:D

I had one that is the same way your snake doesnt like you watching while he eats. Easy fix feed a F/T and cover the enclosure with a towel or something and walk away. Works like a charm every time :D

X4, just do what works. Don't try to change the snake, it won't work.

My male BP will not eat in his enclosure. Drop him in his feeding tub and it's a whole different story. ;)
