Price Check on 1300 Gram Female Spider
The catch with her is that she will only eat live mice, and husband doesn't want those in the apartment. They're kind of pricey to buy, too. So I'm thinking of selling her and using the money to buy a female that eats rats.

The question is, what is she worth?

I would probably say from 600-800 since she is a live mice feeder. Is she by chance a proven breeder?

IMO i wouldnt pay more $500-$600 for her. Shes not quite to breeding size and shes a live mice eater. That means if youre buying from the pet store she probably needs like at least 4 a week. At my pet store mice are $2.30 so thats almost $10 a week to keep her. I would pass on her personally. If theres anything more you can try to do to convert her over to at least f/t, preferably rats, then i would try that. Because then asking $700 for her would be completely resonable. Btw i hope you dont take this like im trying to insult you or your snake lol, im just explaining my opinion :)

I'm with everyone else in that mousers to me aren't worth as much..however someone with the right set up and time could get her changed over and have a great breeder.

I breed ASFs and am certain that your mouser would be easy to switch over. So to people like me, or people who either breed mice or don't mind buying them, your snake wouldn't be a problem. That being said I would caution you not to under value your animal just because it's a mouser. Unless you want a quick sell, that is.

Spider females that size have sold on kingsnake from 700 to 900. Have you really tried hard to switch her to rats? How have you tried? Also any breeding size female is worth what people will pay. What ibwould do personally is keep her, feed her and grow her and post her in late august early september. Close to the traditional breeding season at about 1500 grams you could expect a grand out of her. Or breed her next season get the eggs and sell her as a proven breeder.

Put her up on Kingsnake or Fauna and be honest about her being a mouser. List her at $650, and be willing to entertain reasonable offers or trades. You never know what might pop up. Could be someone out there looking for a female Spider who only eats mice...

Have you considered breeding your own mice or asf? Doing that would save you alot of money. I like snake lab's idea of keeping her and growing her out but its also probably expensive unless you get your mice alot cheaper than what i said in my first post. If i had her it would be costing me like $35-$40 a month just to feed her the live mice. My snakes cost like $10 a month for the frozen rats. So keeping her til august/september would be a good idea but it would also cost like another $200. So if you can get like 800 for her now itd be about the same as 1K in august. Once again im not telling you what to do, this is just my thoughts on the whole thing...
