Just wanted to post a pic of a little blushing black back I am raising in hopes of proving it to be genetic. She will be bred to one of my Pastels next year.
    Enjoy,

I was looking for a black back around August, they are definitely the most amazing normal variant...well...A reduced pattern high gold black back is even better. I've seen a pic at NERD of a reduced black back, it was amazing. Maybe Kara will post it. Sweet pic, good luck proving this genetic. It'll be great to see someone prove everyone wrong and come out with a genetic one. I wonder what you'd get if you bred a genetic black back to a genetic striped, a normal looking one? Interesting thing to consider.

Yeah that would be a cool experiment, a genetic striped black back!! Well thanks for the kind words.

My oldest male has alot of blushing along his back like that, and it comes out even more with every shed.

That sounds alot like this one, as a baby it was a pure black back, but as it has matured, it is gaining more and more blushing, very fun to watch.
