    Warning: Vent...Narked off.
Quick vent before I go to bed and sleep it off.

Got a new BP. He's gorgeous. Obviously it got me thinking about Pretzel and maybe getting her a new viv. So going to sell the old one. I measured it.

    Not happy.

Got told by the person who sold me it IN A REPTILE SHOP that it would do Pretzel for life, that it was 2ftx2ftx2ft, which I was like "surely....Hrrrm" at. I keep thinking I want a bigger viv but for the moment I'm out of a job so money goes on new substrate, food etc. Um, maybe I'm being thick but I don't think that's going to last her. The actual viv measures in at a WHOPPING 21 inches wide, by 18.5 high and 20 deep. Charged me £200 for it plus the stand. For now, for pretzel it's okay, she's only just 2 feet. But seriously...for LIFE? I dont think so. I wasn't ever going to keep her in that forever anyway, because I don't even like it. Plus she gave it to me "oh I'll wire it all up for you!" wired it wrong, told me I didn't have to have it up and running first... Honestly... Urgh rant over i'm annoyed as hell.

Return it and tell them you were lied to.

You might consider using a sterilite plastic tub. They are cheap and easy to clean plus they hold heat and humidity better....... I feel your anger it pisses me off when someone you think knows what they are talking about sells you something just to make a sale either that or they're just plain stupid.

Tubs are definately the way to go. We recently converted. I like everything about them better.

I also recently switched from tanks to tubs and it is a lot easier. If you want more of a display tub there are some nice clear ones if you look around at your local stores such as Wal-mart, Target, etc., and just get one a little taller to put trees and all in.

I can understand you being hacked off about this situation. Sounds like you can find idiots working in pet/reptile shops on both sides of the pond!

    Tubs tubs tubs!! ;)

Also, they don't have to be tiny or secluded like some people think all tubs are. Here's one of my tubs (for a BCI)

x2 i agree rachel. I have all mine in a 41qt rack i built. More than enough room for all of them. Do they benefit from the extra space? Maybe not, but i certainly like to think so :)

Thanks guys :) Calmed down now after a good sleep...

I think I'm going to sell it (Can't return it as I bought it just over a year ago) but not even think about advertising it for a Ball Python. From what I've seen, tubs seem like they're definitely the way to go! If only I had a wal-mart close :( Nearest one I know was in Bristol which is like 4 hours away. I'm pretty good at making things though...Pretty sure me and the other half can get some tubs and think something up!
