    Cage set up ideas
I have a 40 gallon tank for my snake, and well when I look at it, it just looks... Boring compared to some of the tanks I see on YouTube. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make it look good? I can put pictures if that will help you figure out on what I already have.

A pic would be nice! We can "pimp your BP enclosure." :P

To make it look nicer, I would just recommend more plastic plants plants, more hides, a more natural-looking substrate, even more hides, branches, a nice big water bowl. Just try to fill it up in a way that's busy, naturey, and convincing. And give it a little personality or a theme with certain decorations/ornaments. Hope that helps. :)

My phone won't let me post pictures on the site but here's a link to photobucket of a photo. http://s1078.photobucket.com/albums/...1332387550.jpg

I'm planning on getting a background so besides that any suggestion are great!

I think a background will help a lot. You could add some of those suction cup plants that hang from the top edges. It definitely wouldn't mind a few more hides either ;)

    What substrate is that?

It's actually AstroTurf which I hate it and I know my snake does too lol, I'm switching to Eco earth this weekend and make it look more real/ earthy. And thanks for the suggestions :)

    It's not that bad.
Covering both sides and the back would improve the look and security for your ball.
I would choose a theme and go with that. Like a jungle theme or something.
Like what Rachel said, some plants will add to the look.

The wooden half log hide isn't that great to use. They tend to mold after a while.
Two cave hides on both sides would look nice. And a little bit of friendly advice, the dial thermometers on the tank wall aren't very accurate. You can get 12$ digital thermometer that will measure both the hot side, cold side, and humidity from walmart

Oh I know I hate those thermometers I'm going on a shoppin trip just for the tank this weekend so I'm trying to get everything I need down before I go. I don't have a Walmart near me, but is it like the Zoo Med Digital Thermometer?
    Thanks for the help

I'm not sure what the Zoo Med thermometers look like, but these two work great:

They have them on amazon, but it's not as cheap as walmart. I'm not sure if target or other places carry them?

If there's a hardware store near you they have indoor/outdoor thermometers with probes as well. They're a little more expensive.. maybe closer to 20 dollars, but they do still have the humidity reading as well. Still better than the dials :)
