How to get him out of the hide.
So I got a new hide for my BP because the first week we had him he was very adventurous and liked to climb. This hide let him climb but not he is just hiding inside of it at we cannot figure out how to get him out. Any ideas??
Should we just use a regular hide? And can this be used for when he gets bigger, just as a thing for him to climb on?

Is it open on the other side? Can you gently push him out? You might be able to lure him out with food too.

I wouldn't use that even when he gets bigger because he could still get stuck in it like he is now. Normal hides that you can lift up are better.

It is open on the other side, he isn't stuck he just gets really stiff when we try and take him out. He doesn't want to leave the hide. We might just change the hide. Do you think a corn snake would enjoy this hide?

I would just get normal hides, I really like these sold by reptile basics

They aren't the most interesting things to look at but they are cheap, durable, easy to clean, and most importantly make my snakes feel really secure

Here is where you can get them

I wouldn't, you'll likely end up with the same problem.

You can just wait for him to come out. If you're really worried about him you can probably lure him out with a feeder. Mine got stuck in something in his cage the other day and after waiting most of the day for him to come out I just grabbed a left over f/t mouse that's too small for him and dangled it outside the opening until he came out.

    Worked pretty quickly for me.

Wait for him to come out, in the mean time order some hides from reptile basics. You can't beat them

Yup, all you can do is wait. Then chuck that hide. Bps don't usually climb. He was probably stressed out from being new. The less you see of a bp, the happier they are. The black hides that serpent merchant showed, and Rob also recommended, are by far the best. I have them too. They provide lots of security, and are very easy to clean, as well as being cost effective. Reptile Basics is where you get them, and Rich is great.
