What is this, and should I be worried?
I just noticed this on my bp's head. I don't know if it's the beginning of scale rot or if it could be something else. She hasn't eaten in about a month but also hasn't lost a single gram, actually gained a gram since last month! Let me know what you guys and gals think.

Did she rub it on something?

Has she shed recently? It looks like a piece of stuck shed.

Do you offer live rodents? It could also be a bite/scratch.

    That isn't scale rot

Looks like she smacked it or rubbed it on something. I understand you just saw this, but when was the last time you handled her? How much time could this thing have had to develop?

Either a piece of stuck shed, or, more likely (since it looks more like an indentation than a bump) a missing scale that she rubbed off.

My girl had something similar to this in the past. Almost like a dimple, i proceeded to check on it daily to make sure it did not grow or become infected. After a couple of sheds it was gone!

I would not be to worried just keep an eye on it and if it gets worse take the ball to the vet. But i have a feeling your snake will be fine :gj:.

That's what I was going to say, a missing scale from rubbing or the last time she shed.

She shed about a month and a half ago. And she comes out of her cage about once a week so I would have seen it if it's wasn't recent.

I did just recently move and switch her from a glass tank to a vision cage so I'm wondering if she was rubbing on the new cage.

I'll keep an eye out for anything new. Thank you all so much!

Pretzel had this but bigger on her head and I got really paranoid she'd burned herself or scratched herself. Took her for a health check and they told me it was not a burn or a scratch and to wait for the next shed (she had shed recently) and then to see if it came off on its own, which it did. This looks exactly the same but smaller :)
