    type of bedding?
i was using aspen for my other snake and i found that it does not hold humidity at all. especially here in colorado where it is not very humid! i now have prince on repti-bark which is what he was on before. but i'm finding that as far as i have had it, it does not hold humidity as well as i would like. i was wondering what substrate is the best? Repti-bark, jungle mix, eco earth? oh prince is a ball python (:

Eco-Earth and Cypress is the best for humidity

    of the 2 I greatly prefer Eco-Earth

Cypress seems to hold humidity well and it is cheap. But be careful when purchasing and make sure you don't buy cypress blend. The blends can contain cedar and other toxic woods.

Cedar can cypress is fine (probably just got the 2 mixed up)

NEVER use cedar or anything that you think might have cedar in it

Cypress blends can because they can contain cedar, and like Aaron said cedar will kill a snake.

I personally don't use cypress, but anything sold at a pet store should be fine. the issue comes when people try buying it in bulk at a place like home depot. But if you only have a few cages buying the pet store stuff (which costs more) is the best way to go and still will be affordable.

"Zoo-Med", and "All Living Things" seem to have decent quality substrates

Brand of cypress that is good is timberline, you can get it at lowes ad make sure you get the yellow bag. There are some larger pieces you will want to pick out though
