    what kind of woods r safe tose when building a cage for balls or a rack system with open top tubs? Is MDF safe i have read partical board is NOT safe. I am thinking of building a animal plastics style cage with wood.

    I would build it out of Expanded PVC, it really doesn't cost much more than wood and is just as easy to work with. Overall it would be a much more durable cage

    Wow, small world... Home depot has some expanded PVC there are some good online sellers as well. I can post up some links later tonight if you want.

    You can look at any sign place the shipping on a full sheet is horrendous. I go to a place called proveer they carry it. But a quick look in the yellow pages will likely turn up someone whom works with it. Most sign shops do.

    thanks for the idea i will look around if i dont turn up any thing i am thinking a rack with tall tubs or something along that lines (i like to be able to see and enjoy my snakes, but grow tired of glass aquariums setup everywhere)
