I just got my own a week ago and she is wonderful, as are all my boas and boas in general IMO. Wonderful boas that usually don't get as large as Colombians, and they have gorgeous peachy coloring. Some have lots of peppering and some little, so there is a variety out there for what you're looking for.

    Here's my girl, Attika:

That's a great looking hog island, I can't make up my mind on a hog island, or a blood python.

    Good snake to keep.
    Good price.
    Good appetite.

I have only had encounters with one. Very docile and loves the ball python leftovers each week. =)

I have both, also got my black blood girl last week from Tim Mead and both are wonderful (I'm planning to pick up a T+ girl shortly in the future also). If you have the space I'd look into getting one of each, great species.

I recommend shooting him an email and discussing everything with him. He was very helpful with answering questions I had for him.

I have a 2010 male Hypo Hog Island produced by PM Herps. He is an amazing snake and much more active than the ball pythons. I picked him because of his clean pattern and bright colors...

I need to get some new pics of him. Here is an old shot...

Edit: here's a link to some more pics of him...

We have had our Hog for about 2 years. She is a fantastic animal. Very docile, calm, and like someone else said, eats the BP leftovers. She is right at 5ft now and will be very manageable even if she does grow to be 6ft which is pretty large for a female.

You can see pictures of ours if you click on the frog to our facebook page. She has an album :)
