What's for dinner?
So I get tired of the recipes I have sometimes, and want to try something new and yummy. I will post two that I really like, then let's seee what you got! I could use some new ideas.
Blue Chicken
Preheat oven to 350
2tbls margarine
1 pkg boneless, skinless chicken breast
1 cup sour cream
4 oz. package of crumbled blue cheese
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
Melt margarine in frying pan, then brown chicken in pan. Once browned, remove chicken to casserole dish. Put rest of ingredients into same frying pan. Heat and stir to loosen any browned bits and melt cheese. Once melted, pour over chicken, cover with foil and bake for 1 hour. This to die for, and you must have rolls to sop up the sauce!
Next up,
Sweet & Sour Meatballs
1 1/2# pork sausage
1 1/2# ground beef
3 slightly beaten eggs
1 cup fine bread crumbs
1 1/2 tsp sage
Mix well, and make into tiny balls. Brown well in frying pan.
For Sauce-
2 1/4 cup ketchup
5 tbls brown sugar
4 1/2 tbls vinegar
4 1/2 tbls soy sauce
*I usually double batch the sauce, as we like them saucier. I also only use 2 tbls vinegar per batch, as I am more of a sweet than sour person.
Combine all sauce ingredients and cook for 10 minutes. Then add meatballs and simmer for 30 minutes.
Enjoy!

You would be surprised, it kind of mellows out in the sour cream. I can't eat straight up blue cheese, too strong for me.

My new favorite recipe:
Beef Marsala
4 small boneless beef steaks
1 8oz. pkg mushrooms, sliced - I like baby bellas
1/3 cup flour
1 tsp. minced garlic
1 tsp. majoram
1 tsp. dried minced onion
1 tsp. dried basil
1 tsp. dried parsley
1 tsp. sea salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
4 tblsp. butter
2 tblsp. olive oil
1/2 cup Marsala cooking wine
3/4 cup beef broth
Mix the flour, garlic, onion salt and pepper in a shallow dish. Reserve 1 tblsp flour mixture, coat beef with remaining flour.
Heat 2 tblsp of the butter with the olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat, whisking to blend. Cook the steaks about 3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside. Add remaining butter and mushrooms to skillet. Cook and stir about 5 minutes, or until tender. Add wine to skillet and bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Boil for 2 minutes. Add broth and reserved flour mixture, along with basil and parsley. Return steaks to skillet, and turn heat to medium-low. Simmer gently 2 or 3 minutes until sauce thickens. Spoon mushrooms and sauce over steaks and serve with potatoes or rice and rolls.

Re: What's for dinner?
I've been cooking professionally for 14 years, yet I'd be really hard pressed to give someone a recipe...I'd actually have to make a dish and measure along the way. Other than a few bread/pastry items, I don't think I've used a recipe in 10 years.

Re: What's for dinner?
Pre heat oven to 450. Grate some cheese. When oven is hot open box. Remove plastic wrapper and cardboard bottom. Spread cheese over top. Put totino's pizza on center rack and cook for 15 to 18 minutes. Garnish with red pepper flakes and parmesan cheese.:gj:
