Conversion!
This has nothing to do with converting measurements...more like people! :)
No secret, I used to be scared lifeless of snakes. Shamefully had a panic attack after an incident with a corn snake. I can't explain it. But once I gave them a chance, I was COMPLETELY converted :) All thanks to Ball Pythons :)
My other half never really had much to do with Pretzel until a couple of months into our relationship, we were sat there one night just chillin and I went to get Pretzel out and he froze up.
I figured it would take a bit of work ;) :D
So anyway after a visit to our local reptile store (they're amazing) and a lot of research and slowly having handling sessions with her, he loves her. CONVERTED. Wheyyy :)
The last few texts between us have been about getting "our" first snake, and next week on Thursday we're picking up a gorgeous Het Pied Male (Someone can explain Het if they like, Im still confused), about 2 years old. He's been in the shop forEVERRR and apparently nobody wants him! Well we do.
Anybody got any other "conversion" stories? :) :)

My conversion story...
I started out Pentecostal because that's what my parents were at the time, then in my teen years I started flirting with going either Baptist or possibly following the Vulcan practice of Kolinar.
Once I joined the military and was out on my own I went through Wicca, Celtic Paganism, Buddhism and about six other "ism" type practices.
After watching the move Bull Durhan I converted to the Church of Baseball for a short time one summer. As recently as 15 years ago, I flirted around with Humanism.
I finally figured out I'm an Atheist and have been very happy ever since. No guilt about sin and such, and I have no compulsion to save the world from its self.
Wait...that is what we were talking about, right?:rofl:

I considered Kolinar myself but then decided that I preferred the Klingon ways of killing their gods lol
But to the point of this thread...
I have always been somewhat interested in reptiles, but as a kid I wouldn't go anywhere near a snake if you paid me. My girlfriend decided that she wanted a pet snake so I started researching them and decided on getting a BP. Now I have 6 snakes and plans to get more
