is my male gay? lol
well i know my male pewter isnt gay but he is 700 grams producing plugs and he wont breed any females! im not really mad about it but im not understanding why would he not breed?
-
Sometimes throwing him with another male makes him mad and then he may breed. People also say to put 2 dudes in with one girl and this may also help. Wait for a storm to come a Rollin in too. Also I may not be his fault. The girl may not want to as well.

I've not needed to but I've read other threads and that seemed to work for them. Good luck!

my male mojo would not breed at first, so i put another male with my female for like 30mins took him out and put the mojo in he smelled around for a few mins then 10mins later was locked with my female.

i ran into the problem like this when i was trying to breed my austrailian water pythons, what i did was kept a few sheds from different males in a ziplock bag, to keep it from drying out completely, and dropped the sheds in the female cages for a day or 2 before introducing the males, they did not mess around then.

Re: is my male gay? lol
Maybe he just needs the competition to get him going. Hope that works for ya.

Take the sheds of another male and put them in the tub with the pewter and female. Also try lightly misting the female right before putting in the pewter. Try pairing them right after she sheds. And finally like others have said, pair them right before a storm front rolls in. If you can combine doing more than 1 of these things then your chances of them locking will go up lol

Re: is my male gay? lol
When I first started pairing my lessers at the end of last year, the male didn't want anything to do with her (or it may have been the other way around) but I followed the advice of others that told me to pair them as a storm was rolling in and sure enough, the first time one was rolling in it was like 2 teenagers on prom night. :D

putting males together should be a last resort.
If they combat and one gives up(loses) he can very likely end up never breeding
