    That area looks gorgeous! Ive been to SC a few times and thought the area was beautiful. What is the snake in that last pic? It sorta looks like the coloration of a copperhead but the head looks too slim to be one.

    Nerodia: Water snake. They are commonly mistaken for cottonmouths down here and are usually killed on site. Such a shame.

    nice! 99 times of a hundred around here they call those "cottonmouths" never seen an actual cottonmouth yet!

    Funny I asked the boys if they wanted to go snake hunting today too!

    lol we get the EXACT same thing here. I actually dont think Ive ever met anyone outside of this hobby that truly knew what a cottonmouth did look like. I find these killed all over the place every year and its because so many people swear they are cottons.

    Great pics! Yeah we have the same problem here with people thinking the water snakes are cottonmouth's. Drives me crazy.
