    rack heating ?'s
Okay so we (snakedaddy) and I built a rack system yesterday and it turned out good. I will post a pic later. I have not ordered any heat tape yet, but I will soon. I am having to use a UTH for now, the ones i have are 11x11 and my tub size is a sterilite 32qt. My temps are 88 on hot side and 74.6 on cool side ( a little too cool) should I buy at pet smart a larger UTH (for time being). Please, someone help me get this thing right, I really don't want to buy another tank after snakedaddy spent the money on this rack.
I only have 3 bp and have it set up to eventually hold 5 snakes.

Have you already ordered the flexwatt? If you order from Reptile Basics itll be there quickly. Having your snakes at those temps for a week or less wont hurt them.

I would bring up the temp in the room a bit..I would spend the money on a portable oil heater that you could find just about anywhere..Plus they are good to have on hand anyway..

The simple solution is the one most people use heat the room to the correct ambient temp and humidity, 80ºF and 60% RH. There are ways around that but they are very difficult hard to balance and expensive.

For a 32 qt, I would go with 3 or 4 inch flexwatt, and remember if you buy the wire set with the flexwatt from reptile basics they will wire everything for free!
