feeding in shed?

It's feeding night started to thaw a mouse and noticed the snake was blue. Question is do you still offer or do you wait? I know it will slam it. It's a pig. Will it digest alright if it starts to work off the shed in a couple of days? Just don't want to hurt it. Last shed it was eating live so I skipped the meal. Now that we are eating f/t I just want to make sure its safe.

Some will still take it some won't. It doesn't hurt to offer though.

Doesn't hurt to offer. My last feed night first two tubs I pulled open, snakes going blue. I offered anyhow, they both ate. My bee missed the first strike, but went right back at it. Their vision isn't. that great when blue, to judge a strike. As long as its p/k or f/t should be fine. I don't think it can hurt them. They may or may not take it. I guess I would go by their tempermant. I have one female that is just plain grumpy when she is in shed, so I never mess with her.

I personally don't offer while in shed, but there is nothing wrong with doing so. Instead, I offer food the day after my snake sheds, even if it isn't the scheduled feeding day, and then just feed again seven days after that, so my feeding day changes every shed cycle. I only have one snake, so this isn't confusing, but if you had more than one, not such a good system. haha. :) I only do it this way because the ONLY time my snake has refused a meal was when I offered while she was in shed. She really just seems to prefer being left alone in her humid hide for a couple weeks and then given a big juicy rat as soon as she is done and bright and shiny again.

Do whatever you prefer, eating or not eating while in shed will not hurt your snake either way.

I also feed while they are in shed. I just make sure that if their eyes are clouded I pay extra attention to heating up the f/t head.

Half of mine will eat in full blue, so I always offer.
