Heat Bulb

will this bulb be sufficient? 100 watt red. 30 gallon long aquarium, other heat source: human heating pad on low, lamp is placed one foot above cage on heating pad's side. thanks.

I use those exact bulbs. Nothing but success. Plus you can run them 24/7, they can't see them at night times.

Maybe 100 is too high, you'll have to wait and see. Should be fine. But if it is too much it'll make it too dry, and if you cover the top to holdin humidity it'll get too hot. I think a 75 watt is best. You'll need to monitor it.
