    Feeding time
Hey rule of thumb says feed at night obviously because they are nocturnal so I generally feed my animals after dinner around 630 700ish. I have also done it as late as midnight and they seemed to be jumping out of the tubs to get at their meal. So when do you guys and gals feed and maybe there is something behind the later at night is better theory? Maybe they were just more hungry because they had to wait longer, or maybe they are just more awake and on the prowl later in the night? Opinions?

If mine are in the mood to get out of the hide and cruise the tub, they usually do it around 8:00pm.

I like to feed about 8:30 or 9:00pm. That way if they do eat, I can make sure they got it down before I go to bed, and if they're being picky, I can leave the F/T in there till I get up in the morning. Since I get up pretty early, it still won't be in there long enough to get funky...well, more funky than rats already are.

I generally wait till at least after dark, but it's been as late as 1 in the morning cause it was feeding day and I wasn't able to get home to get it done.

I feed my girl all times of day too and she always seem to jump on it

I might try this for my male baby though because he is really picky...

Funky is a great word to describe it haha I left the f/t in with my male Tuesday night and and I thought he ate it when i checked on him in the morning but I guess he just hid it under his substrate and I woke up to a super funky smell today that I couldn't really describe... Till I started digging around in the cages! O_o now I'm trying to get a little more sleep before work and not throw up... Haha

Two of my snakes don't care what time I feed them, day or night. The other two only eat when it is dark out.

I usually feed before noon, however they dont really seems to care when I feed them. Once I feed one the others start to move around everywhere looking for food.

I wait until after class, so if feeding day falls on a day that I only have class for a few hours he gets his mice at around 12pm, but if class lasts all day he's likely only getting food sometime between 7pm-3am depending on what else I have to do when I get home. He's yet to refuse and always takes his food within seconds no matter what time of day I feed him, swallows it after he's squeezed for a few minutes (gotta make sure that thawed mouse is dead!), then goes back in his hide to sleep regardless.

I feed at all different times, it just depends on what we have going on. The snakes are in the basement though and it gets dark as early as 5pm down there.
