    snake bitten?
is there anyway i wouldn't be able to find a wound on my snake? i saw alot of blood when i fed him earlier right where the mouse's mouth was. i rushed down to the nearest store to get neosporin without pain killers of course and when i came back i could find no wound and no more blood. could the mouse have bitten it's own lip and caused that much blood? i have him on paper towels in just in case

Could have been the rodents blood from being constricted.

I agree, I often see blood around a rodents mouth after being killed. I've seen it with f/t ones as well.

Please do not use Neosporin, it does more harm then good on snakes. it can be used in moderation for a very short period of time but anything more than that can turn the scales into mush. It is much better to use Betadine.

I agree I think it was probably mouse blood. Plus I also agree with serp betadine always.

Yup, probably rodent blood. I have seen it come out of the mouth/nose from being constricted. Neosporin is not good for scales. What you want is betadine. It can be found with the first aid supplies at your local pharmacy.

Agreed. Rodent's blood. One of the last times I fed my big normal female, she managed to get rat blood everywhere! I had to clean the tub when she was done. Lol.

it was more of a rush down to the store i've never had issues so i was rather worried it must have just been the mouse it was just a huge amount of blood
