how often do females miss prelay shed?

Hello i have a female royal who was first paired in Novemember, all the dates match up and she ovulated about a month ago now so im suspecting shes simply just missed her prelay shed?

does anyone know how often females miss their prelay shed?

Im pretty sure females always shed because thats how you can estimate to the day when you should expect to see eggs

I've never had one miss her pre lay shed. Are you sure you saw an ovulation?

I have one girl that looks like she ate a bunch of tennis balls and hasnt shed yet. Im wondering if she pulled a gecko and ate the shed lmao.

I have never had a ball python miss a prelay shed....now my boas on the other hand, do it all the time......so I may have gotten lucky, and they ahve never missed one, but from ovulation, egg laying is usually 45 days.......just to give you an idea in case she did miss the shed.....if she did ovulate.

My big girl does this with her pre-ovy shed. It's very strange. She will go into blue with her eyes clouded over and everything, but never shed. Then she ovulates. This is the second year she has done it. Very odd

Never seen it, not sure it's even possible...

You probably mistook big build for an Ovy...Have you tried to pair again since you saw an "Ovulation"?

They usually shed about 15 days after Ovy...I have never had one not have a prelay shed...

I agree with this. I have seen a few builds that I thought were ovulations until I saw the real deal a few weeks later.
