    Breeding fast
When should a male end a breeding seasion fast? I have an adult male (I think) that has been refusing food and only eaten 2 times since about the end of Nov. he is not loosing weight just wondering when I will have to stop tossing defrosted rats out.

Hate to say it but they will end when they end. My female was only on her strike for a month my male just ended his a couple weeks ago. Both went off feed just after Thanksgiving. Hope this helps :D

Sadly one of my males has been off feed since December. He's lost a little weight, but not enough to be concerned.
All you can do is keep offering food weekly until he does eat.

Unfortunately when ever the feel like it. I was curious how long people have had snakes go with out eating and started a thread awhile back. Some people had them go as long as a year. Most common was 3-6 month strike.

Ugh...I am so in the middle of this right now. I've got a male pastel who bred this year who hasn't eaten in 114 days. He's only lost a little over 100 grams. I have two other males that didn't breed this year but apparently thought they should have. They haven't eaten in 66 and 69 days.

I just wish these stupid snakes would eat! Lol

Well depending on how many snakes you have, feed the iffy ones first, then if they refuse you can feed the rat to another snake.

^^ This is what I do. I'm always trying to Murphy's Law them into eating. You know...cause if I warm up enough for everyone, then they won't eat, but if I just warm up enough for the ones I'm sure about, but offer it to the picky ones first, and they take it, then I have to go back out to the freezer (it's in the garage) and warm up another one.

When my pastel girl went off feed last year (ate once in 11 mos!) I stopped offering weekly and went bi weekly to save rats.

Like everyone said, they will eat when they eat. My girl finally started again and has been pounding rats the last couple months.
