    1ST SHED WOOHOO, plus one question
    Gertrude had her first shed looks nice and clean in one piece, i posted few days ago about her being crabby and stuff and it looks like it was right she was in shed mood but her eyes didnt turn that blue color? is that normal?, anywho here are couple pics to show

    Some only turn blue for a few hours before they turn back. It is very possible that you simply missed it

    The blue is a liquid that they use to seperate the old scales from the new, so as long as the shed was successful (which from the pictures i'd say that it was) there is nothing to worry about.

    Like was said above, its possible that you just missed the blue period altogether. As a normal part of their shed cycle the eyes go blue then clear up a day or two before the shed, though the time it takes for each snake to go through every stage in the shed cycle will vary by the individual animal.

    Along with everyone else, I'm sure you just missed the blue. Shed looks good. I always check for eyecaps too, for my own piece of mind if I need to worry about them or not.

    Honestly, I tend to miss the blue phase more often than I see it...nothing to worry about. Looks like she had a great shed.
