    Autistic Brother Who LOVES Reptiles.
So, I posted this a little while back in Windy City Reptiles, and every loves it.. IT also breaks my heart and makes me happier then most people could ever understand.. Both of my younger brother are autistic, my youngest (the one in this photo) is not as bad as my other brother though... He absoutly LOVES reptiles.. He won't really show it around strangers but he does at home. :) He will be attending the Tinley Park NARBC show with me and is more excited then I can describe! I really hope everyone enjoys this post!

That's really sweet. So glad he has found an interest, and so glad you can share it with him. You have formed an amazing bond with him over this shared love.

My 12 year old son is autistic (high functioning), he never really relates to the warm fuzzy pets, but he will spend a lot of time watching my snakes. While at school he will check out books about snakes and we will read them together at home.

I don't have Facebook, so I couldn't see original post. That's cool that be has something he is so interested in, and that it sounds like you are supportive of him.

Heyy :) My youngest brother Alex has Aspergers :) He wasn't great with animals (especially dogs, after an incident with a German Shepherd) for a while. Liked cats but I don't really think anything else. He's changed so much though, and after not seeing him in a long time he came to stay with me and met Pretzel for the first time. She was quite small at the time but I wasn't sure how he'd react.

    He loved her.
Couldn't wait to handle her. First thing he did was dump his stuff in the hallway and say "Can I see Pretzel?" She loves him too, it's like they got a little thing :) She's not headshy at ALL around him and will let him do whatever, whereas with other people she might take a bit of getting comfortable before she will even consider you going anywhere near her head :)

Now he wants his own snake :) (Good luck getting mum to agree to that one mate!)
