    Anyone Use Light Tents?
I am thinking of getting a light tent for taking really good pictures of my snakes. I came across this one on ebay. Seems really affordable.

    What are your thoughts?

I would look into making your own, that way it will be any size you want, and maybe save you some bucks too. Heres a sticky on how to make one:

That one looks pretty good, and it's good that it comes with 4 lights. Definitely look at everything before making a final decision, though.

I got one more similar to this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-PHOTOGRA...item337303b0df

Then I added some extra lights. I don't remember paying that much, though, and the lights aren't the same, so it wasn't the exact same set.

Definitely pay attention to the output of the lights--it can be difficult to get reasonable photos if the lights aren't bright enough, and the light isn't natural enough. Some of that DEFINITELY depends on your camera, though.

    I made this one:

And it worked pretty well except my cat kept getting up in it and chewing the poster board. :colbert:

    So I bought this one:

And except for needing to iron the backdrop because it's wrinkly from being folded (and ironically, I don't own an iron and have somehow made it 25+ years without ever ironing or learning to iron), it works really well.

    Taken with the DIY tent:

I have the exact same one which I like but I plan on moving away from that for something more like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/220901378352...ht_3677wt_1270.

It does the job, all my hatchlings pictures are taken using that tent I just want something a little bigger.

I saw a sticky thread on here on how to make them, looked pretty cool. I need to make one. They make for wonderful pictures.
