    Aspen stuck to mouse....
If there's little pieces of aspen stuck in the rat pups fur when it's swallowed, is that going to harm my snake? Just a little worried..

Edit: The title should be rat, not mouse -.-

A little ingested substrate will not harm your snake...if it did, there would be no snakes left in existence.

Alright, that's what I thought, but it's the first time I've had it happen so I went all "paranoid snake mom"

First time feeding a f/t rat was a success though! Well, mostly .. he ended up eating it bum first -.- When he went for the first strike he got a front leg, ended up unhinging his jaw and wrapping his mouth around the pup's stomach .. then shifted until it's but was in his mouth lol .. he had some fun trying to get the feet in his mouth, but other then that it seemed to go really well :)

Thanks for assuring me that the aspen wont hurt him :)

They break down bones..... I would not worry about a little bit of substrate. :P
